Prometrium- tips?

Just started prometrium pills today. I’m taking 2 a day vaginally until I get a BFP and if I don’t, then I’ll stop them.
I set my alarm for an hour before I needed to get up, inserted it and went back to bed. It’s been 3 hours now and I feel so gross down there. Is this normal?! I have on a panty liner like my dr suggested but it feels like it’s all draining out of me. Are there any tips to doing this or is this just part of it?! |

| Yes, it is normal. I wore a pad all day to protect my underwear. However, I found it really helpful to take a shower about a hour after my morning insertion to get some of the ickiness off. |

| OK, this is going to sound gross but IVF is gross so here goes. I was on promethium several times including once for 12 weeks straight. I’d insert, lie flat for 10 min, and then go about my day. How? 1. Panty liners 2. Balled up a clean tissue and placed it between my labia. It helped with any dripping. Also TMI but whatever, I inserted after I had done a BM and showered for the day; showered at night also to get a bit cleaner and then inserted next round before bed. |

| Also, the higher you shove it up the better. Less leakage, more absorption. Good luck! |

I started using my preseed applicators to get it higher up and that’s helped tremendously! |
