McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone and Ted Cruz was born in Canada.

Duckworth's father was an American with roots back to the Revolutionary War. She would be just fine.

That’s why I said “possible.” None of this stuff has ever been adjudicated. The Senate proclaimed that McCain was “natural born” so that this wouldn’t be an issue, and Cruz never got that far (because he wasn’t the nominee, and also they all hate his effing guts.) This is EXACTLY the kind of thing where I would expect IOKIYAR, but God forbid if some Democrat tried it.

C'mon people. No offense, but, a gay and disabled ticket would, justified or not, totally come across as a political stunt. I'm not saying that's a good thing but it is a thing and this is a close election.

Like it or not, this is reality. Ignore it at your (our) peril. I like Buttigieg, Duckworth less so (whatever her merits, she has zero natural charisma). For better or worse, this is not a ticket that will engage middle America.

I love love love Tammu Duckworth! She has great experience. O also think VP for 8 years would be awesome. She is a person I would love to see run!
