Ability test scores don't count against my 4 pages right?

Anonymous
Re-applying for my 3rd grader.

Questions:

1 - Am I correct in my understanding that my submission of her CogAT retake scores does NOT count against the 4 page work sample limit or the 5 pages of extra crap you're allowed to submit (awards, certificates, etc)?

2 - Under the description of the 5 pages of honors/awards you can submit, it says "academic extracurricular activities." (see here: https://www.fcps.edu/node/37056 ) Does this mean people can submit a list of their kid's extracurricular activities? Do people do that?

Thanks

OP here again...

also, do I just write a note on each work sample saying why I'm including it? Like, I wrote a note on her writing sample that I was including it because it showed her creativity in how she answered the question with a few words as to what that creative element was. Do I need to be that specific on my description?

I included commentary in my appeal letter.

Test scores are not work samples.

I would suggest showing packet to your school AART.

We took out 2 work samples (art and science) that I personally thought were good but AART said showed no gifted behavior.

Thanks. Maybe I'll shoot the work samples to her electronically so she can review my commentary and the samples themselves and give me her opinion.

Our aart said you can’t have more than the 4 pages. That means no attached notes on separate pages. I slightly shrunk the work and added notes near the work samples.

I put my descriptions on the pages themselves.

Be prepared—my AART would tell you she cannot give you any specific advice on work samples.
