It says you can attach up to 5 additional pages. Is this where I include work samples? Or is there something else I should include in the 5 pages? (Child has no special learning issues that would warrant explanation).

This. Our AART specifically said you don't actually need 5 certificates/letters/whatever. Just the really good stuff.

What the heck is the point of the humor question?

Because gifted kids are known to have an unusual sense of humor.

Honestly, I put the lowest rating for that one for my kid.

I was identified as gifted as a child, and I would say I have a lack of humor. My kids the same and they scored highly on the Cogat/NNAT.

Perhaps, to me, I wouldn't find those things unusual?

Us too! Not sure how the question is really relevant either. What exactly does "unusual" sense of humor mean anyway?!

Oh he has his moments but I cannot come up with anything off the top of my head and my Husband cannot either. We put him in the middle on that one but examples elude us. It doesn't help that he currently loving Teen Titans Go and has been memorizing the butt song and the like. (shrugs)

Unless a parent writes "please don't accept my child, he doesn't want it and we don't want it and he will cause lots of problems and he is not gifted at all, he cheated on the test" I have a hard time thinking the selection committee places any weight on the parent questionnaire, which is extremely SES biased. Is this just a way to let parent's feel like they did something?
