Camp Dark Waters

Anybody have experience with this camp in NJ?

No offense but that is the worst name for a camp I’ve heard of, unless it’s some kind of movie

DH went there as a kid and loved it. He wanted our DCs to go there but I said no f-ing way. It sounds like a horror film.

I know many people who have gone themselves, and now their kids go, and all have loved it - it's a traditional overnight summer camp experience.

I would consider it just for the name alone. Reminds me of Camp Indian Name.

It's a Quaker camp. They don't have a great facility but it's inexpensive. I know people whose kids go and like it.

I thought about it for my kids but decided to spring for a more expensive camp on a proper lake. I thought it seemed a little buggy (but that's southern NJ for you). It did seem like they were very flexible and would be good with less sporty kids.

I love up there and know people who love it. My school takes kids there for team building each year. Nice folks.

I **live** up there ...

Yes! A Scooby-doo camp movie. (I know there already is one)

My thought, too! Sounds like a camp from The Simpsons!
