Is there going to be boys DA u13 year next year? Looks like the local ID sessions have the u13 age group included.

That was true for Arlington, Bethesda and VDA this year as well. Only DCU began at U14.

Even if there isn't a "D.A" there will be U13 teams for all of those programs. They'll call it "pre-DA" or something. DCU will not have a U13 though, but 2008s can try for the 2007 U14 team if they want.

so if there is no U13 DA for boys and girls what league do these clubs play in that say they are DA? and are they still charging DA prices???

There was a rumor last year when they got rid of U12 DA that they would phase out U13 DA next, and add U16 to get rid of the blended U16/17 team. Sort of makes sense to add U16 (keeps kids in the system - as it is now some U16 kids don't make the blended team, and end up playing high school). The winter DA meeting has come and gone, though, without that announcement so I don't know that this will happen this year.

The only change made to U13 at the winter meetings was that the U13's will no longer attend the regional showcases.

The word coming out of the Boys DA Winter Cup/Showcase is that there WILL BE U13 teams again next season (2020-21); and there WILL NOT BE stand-alone U16 teams, as some had speculated. Boys DA will be: U13, U14, U15, U17, U19--just like this season. They haven't really announced these because it's really just a continuation of the status quo.

For DCU? What about Club DA that did not have U16 and above last year?

DC United academy doesn't have U13 DA (2007s) this year, and I haven't heard anything that makes me think they will next year (2008s). A number of MLS academies have dropped (or never had) U13 teams, which was one of the reasons people thought it might get dropped from DA entirely.

For boys "club DA that did not have U16 and above last year"... I think you're really just talking about Arlington--they stop at U15 and didn't get approved to add U17 last cycle (as I understand it). The other local DAs (DCU, Bethesda, Armour, VDA) have U17 and U19 teams already. I believe there was an entire thread on Arlington DA adding ages recently, and I don't know more than that. Last year, US Soccer didn't announce new DA clubs and age group additions until March 7th, at least publicly. But I also don't know if Arlington went through the process to apply again this cycle.

I don't know for a fact that they went through the process, but I was told they were planning to and that they anticipate getting a full DA status, especially given DCU's move and Loudon dropping DA.
