What's up with all the people on Nextdoor who post complaints about dog owners not picking up after their dog, and post their complaints along with a PICTURE OF THE DOG POOP???! Not only is it disgusting, it's not relevant to where I live, or probably where you live, like 99% of the time. Yesterday in Gaithersburg, a person posted a picture of left behind dog poop to 27 surrounding neighborhoods, consisting of 12,680 "neighbors" on Nextdoor. Why do I need to see that???
PSA: If you feel the need to go on your Nextdoor app to complain about dog poop in your neighborhood, no picture is necessary. I know what dog poop looks like and I BELIEVE YOU. |

There was a similar post in my (Arlington) area this morning. Picture of the purple poop bag.
As the saying goes, “NextDoor is twitter for old people.” People like to vent all their frustrations there. |
| Even better is the current discussion on Nextdoor where one woman is sending threatening DMs to other members cursing them out in regards to her original post about a woman walking her dog without the leash. Of course, they are just posting her messages for all of us to see. I find it incredible that this woman is being so verbally abusive and is stupid enough to put her threats in writing. |
| Nextdoor is for entertainment value only |
| They are hoping to match the poop to the dog owner. |
| Ha! That's tame. On my local listserv, they've been posting Ring videocam footage of the offending pets/pet owners who didn't clean up the poop. |
In response to one member "Go f urself u racist prick. better yet, go f that whore u call a mother u son of a b****. she shouls have aborted u." Lovely. |

Agree OP.
I just confront the person that does that in front of my house, or I silently fume about it when I don’t see it happen. Posting is ridiculous. |
| Same reason people vent here on DCUM. |
No, it’s not. People post anonymously here. Nextdoor is used for neighbor shaming. |
|
And yet... here you are, posting about some minor matter on DCUM! I'm sure the irony is lost on you, OP. |
IDK, I don't think it's shaming, I think someone is getting called out and they should be. |
| I prefer the pictures of trash that are not in a can and birds are eating it. Especially after Christmas Thanksgiving Fourth of July when people are actually fun parties and all thetrash doesn’t fit in one trashcan that week |
| It's even funnier when it's wild animal scat. Those creatures don't give a crap. |
| People who don't like dogs or dog owners are mean spirited, bad neighbors with shriveled hearts. I don't know why they're not embarrassed to out themselves like that. Nasty people who are archetypal bad guys in many kids movies. |
