Why the h*ll did Apple get rid of the home button?

Anonymous
Just replaced my 8 plus with an iPhone 11 and boy do I miss the home button. How could apple possibly think this is an improvement?

It bothered me at first also, but now I’m so used to it that I don’t even think about it, the swipe is as automatic as the home button was.

It seems like it’s harder to close apps. I always have to swipe up a couple of times to get the apps to show.

Apple users should never question Apple. They know what is best for you. You just have to adjust.

That is operator error, not a design flaw.

You’ll get used to it. Change is good.

OP -

I miss it too. BTW

To screen shot on the ip11
Press volume up (left) and power (right side) at the same time.

Took me forever to find out how to do that.

Change is not good.

you will definitely get used to it and eventually find it easier. It's just an adjustment.

You can download an app that allows a home button to be placed where you want it

This is why I have not gotten a new iphone. I'm not interested in change.

Worse is sharing the charging spot with the headphones. I’ve had to put more than one conference call on speaker simply because I’m charging.

I don’t understand the theory for removing the option for wired headphones. Isn’t more choice better?
