If you’ve had a birthday party at the Falls Church Fire Station

How much decoration do I need? Do I need additional entertainment for the kids? They provide white table clothes. Will I wish I had brought something snazzier? How far is the walk from the parking lot to the party room (for carrying drinks and other heavy things)? Thanks!

We did a party a few years ago. The room is plain and I don’t think I decorated but I’m a pretty minimalistic person. No need for additional activities. The tour and firefighters are great! The walk is fine...I don’t remember it being too hard to bring stuff in.

Not hard to bring food in. I brought birthday balloon of favorite character for DS but otherwise they provided balloons. I also brought a cake and had a friend do pretty budget face painting. Simple Piñata at the end. Party was a big hit!

We went as guests for a 4 year old party. Don't remember the tablecloths or decorations in their room used as the party room. I think they hardly had any (as no character theme or anything sticks out). But the activities were more than enough. Kids absolutely loved getting on the fire truck and touring.

Walk to entrance is short. Plus as hosts, couldn't you unload at the entrance anyway.

It's been a few years, but we had a party for DC there. The station provided plastic fire hats, a fire-safety coloring book, and balloons. We brought food and cake; the walk from parking is short and there's an elevator to the second floor if you need it. No need for additional activities - the gear demonstration by a firefighter and the tour of the firehouse are enough (like a PP said, the kids loved seeing the trucks).

Walk is not far. I think they do balloons and that’s fine for decorations. I personally think you need other activities. The parties are pretty boring except for the tour.
