My daughter was breech at 37 weeks and I spent a week going to Andrino (no change), acupuncture, and basically being upside down looking ridiculous. I ended up in a 38 week ECV with Dr. Madkour at GW. It was successful, not painful, and I personally feel he is a magical. He spent years in developing countries doing this for women for whom a c-section was not an option. I know ECVs vary widely and don't always go well, but for what it's worth he's acknowledged to be the best around here and my experience was in line with that.
That being said, for chiropractors in the DC area I also love (and continue to see during my second pregnancy after getting no love from Andrino post-delivery (ie could NOT get an appt) Anthony Noya in Tenleytown. I have severe scoliosis so my pregnancies and recoveries have not been easy in that way, and he has actually gotten me out of pain AND decreased my curvature. I feel he is also kind of magical. He's very careful and thorough and has a completely different style than Andrino but highly talented, I believe.
Good luck and hope that helps!
