We've been to three Kindercares (thanks, military) two of which where in DC. It really depends on the Center. We've had three great experiences with our son. We attended a newer one in DC, they used the app (which I prefer to paper sheets) and did a really good job communicating with parents. We loved the teachers there and there wasn't a retention problem (although it was a newer center so everyone was newly hired in the last year). It was also the most expensive one by far because it was in downtown DC. We attend a federal one now which is still nice and has pretty low teacher turnover. We've been lucky with the center directors and teachers in all three - they were very responsive and helpful. I'd take a tour and see how things are - it is so dependent on who is leading the center/the work environment in that sense. Good luck!
