My kid has already destroyed and lost parts to most of his brand new toys!

Santa just brought these toys less than a week ago and they are either destroyed or taken apart with pieces missing!

So aggravated!!

The missing pieces are under the ottoman, and in the hamper.

How old is your kid, how many toys did he get, and what’s your organization system?

He's 6, a bunch (over 10), we have a playroom and shelves in his bedroom but we haven't been strict about putting the toys he just got for Christmas away because they are so new.

If you 10 year old is destroying toys you have a bigger behavioral issue on your hands and there need to be strong consequences. And, stop buying toys.

Well, now you know your son is not gentle with things. In the future I'd get him fewer things, and things that are hardier. Like a basketball.

Maybe it was really the grandma in the other thread who wanted to keep the LEGO pieces organized.

If you’re wondering what a natural consequence looks like for a kid, this is it.

Guess he won’t be playing with these toys. Oh well.

Okay that made me laugh out loud.

OP I get your vent but as always-such nasty, uptight comments! It's Christmas and there's extra chaos in the house. Hopefully the pieces will show up but glad your kid had some fun.
