Melissa & Doug toy storage

Anonymous
DD received yet another great Melissa & Doug toy that comes in a balsa wood box. The toy has lots of little pieces and the box is great for keeping them organized. But there’s no lid! Are we the only family that this doesn’t work for? We end up transferring the toys to bags and ditching the boxes, but we’d prefer to keep the box. Just need some way to close it or we’ll lose all the pieces. Any ideas?

Go to Michaels and buy a balsa box.

Why do people think M&D is so great?

We transfer all in toys to plastic bins with lids and then I repurpose the wooden boxes for things like drawer dividers or wooden trays in the guestroom I've stained some and painted a few and added a handle on each side for a nice breakfast tray

I've also hung a few on the wall as shadowboxes for our Momentos from Disney

My mom is obsessed about this Melissa and Doug lid thing. I agree it is silly. Why bother selling it in a nice box if the box is not useful? Just sell it in a cardboard box.
