How did you send it? If you sent regular mail, it probably isn’t there. And FYI yesterday was a bank holiday.

Via USPS regular mail.

I know... a long story I don’t want to get into.

My check was for $4500.
It took almost a week and still pending!

About 7 business days last time I mailed in a check to Ally.

Ally takes deposits by phone over $10k. Don’t know they would take $110k by phone but no need to mail a $4500 check

Fingers crossed for you!

I like Ally Bank but I totally agree that having deposits posted takes longer than a brick and mortar bank, even electronically are slow to post.

Or you could use mobile deposit for up to $50K.

Not with Ally , but I mail deposits to my bank every 1-2 weeks (business-related, long story). This last week, they were taking much longer than usual. I attribute it to the post office being slow with all the holiday mail rush, along with understaffing at the bank's processing center due to the holidays.

Just mailed one on 12/24 and I'm hoping it clears before 12/31.

I think if you're gonna have checks like that coming in every once in a while, it might be good to maintain a checking account at a brick and mortar bank. Can always transfer everything to Ally later. I'd be really hesitant to mail a six fig check via snail mail.
