| Not a working LGD, but my current dog is a Great Pyrenees, and I volunteer with an organization that places a lot of LGDs. |

| We have a Pyrenean Mastiff guarding chickens and 2 goats on 40 acres. They all stick to about 2 acres though. The main thing is the dog must be socialized with your family at a very young age, and need to know you are in charge. If they think you are too passive, they will never see you as the boss, and that can confuse them. |
