Did you get printed pictures at your 20wk ultrasound?

I had my anatomy scan recently and was surprised they didn’t give me any printed pictures. They told me I could go down to medical records and get a CD. I did but it was a pain. I had to find a computer with a disc drive and now if I want an actual print out gotta figure that out too. With my first pregnancy I always got 2 or 3 pics when leaving an ultrasound. This was Washington Radiology.

I did get a printed one on my 20w scan though the ultrasound was done at my OB's office!

I'm not sure why on techs and obs are so weird about giving pictures. I have had to explicitly ask for them every time. Like, it's my baby and you have the ability to print the pictures? I'm not sure why they act like it's some kind of special privilege to see pictures of the baby you are carrying.

Oh yes, absolutely! They were very willing to print out a whole strip of them.

I did with my first DD back in 2015. Pregnant again now, and the MFM practice that handled my anatomy scan has switched to sending them via email or text.

Yes. The tech printed practically every picture we saw on screen.

Yes like 20. Both times

I got printed pics at every ultrasound, both pregnancies (two different practices) whether I wanted them or not!

Get over it. It’s not medically necessary.

Yep, printed out many pictures of the ultrasound for both of my kids. I didn’t even have to ask. They asked if I wanted them.

Yes, for all 4 pregnancies across 3 different practices. Some more than others but I always got at least one or two without asking.

Yeah I got a whole strip, and they printed a couple duplicates on request so I could send one to my sister. And they printed the spooky shot where I could see her adorable skull face.

I wanted some so I asked, but she just printed the last thing she took a picture of (like a femur measurement instead of, like, one where you can see the outline of the head or something). I figured that's just the way it goes but then I went out to the lobby to wait for the second half of the appt and the lady next to me had a string of pictures longer than a CVS receipt. Depends on which tech you get, I suppose.

For the disgusted PP, they're not for you. They're for the other parent who couldn't make it to the scan and possibly grandparents.

Then stop bringing them to office and showing them to the rest of us!

Yes, for both DS and DD. I didn't have to ask, the tech printed out a few pics of the facial profile and handed them to me. I also got a few early pics from my OB from one of the very early ultrasounds. This was at a Kaiser facility.
