Would you address a weakness in the packet?

Or just focus on strength (my child’s weakness is writing- so it will be obvious unless the school
Chooses an art work same)

If there was a low score (say in verbal) I might counter with great writing examples but otherwise I would just focus on strengths. They can only put positive things in the GBRS and no kid is perfect so I would just show the best skills in my child.

Drawing extra attention to a weakness is a bad idea, unless your kid has some sort of 2E issue that explains it. Focus on your child's strengths and why your child's needs cannot be met in a regular classroom.

I did three years ago but I didn’t just say the weakness - I said how he works to solve it. He did get in - he was in pool.
