Zoo lights tonight?

I've never been to zoo lights. But I've read recently about some of the fireworks shooting that scared young kids and then the shooting a few blocks away. Sounds like weekend nights tend to be more rowdy. But maybe overthinking it?

Anyone been to zoo lights on a weekend night - should I go tonight with young kids?

I was there last Saturday night. It was lovely and busy, with no issues whatsoever. There is security as you walk in. I drive past every day and it looks like they have police presence all the time now.
