Logically, I know I shouldn't be making this a big deal. But here I am. During my first pregnancy, I felt the first real kick at 18 weeks. It was strong and noticeable. Now I am 18W 5D with baby number 2 and I haven't felt anything. I go in for the anatomy scan next week, so I know I will have answers then, but could this be normal? I always thought you felt the 2nd baby earlier.
I'm pregnant with my second now and didn't feel a single thing until 19 weeks 5 days (I tried everything and was really paying attention!) - However, I've felt her every day since that first kick! You may have an anterior placenta like I do, which can definitely delay the first movements that you can feel.
I didn't feel anything with my first one but with my second I do feel the gas kind of thing inside me sometimes and they told me thats a movement (I think) that's totally fine not to feel anything!
I felt the second later. And the third even latwr
As PP said, I think it could be as simple as where your placenta is. You will know more in the anatomy scan (and i am totally not a doctor) but it's possible that you have an anterior placenta. I had an anterior placenta with one kid and placenta previa with the other. Oh man, could i feel the movement with that placenta previa more.
I think I felt the movements around the same time but it was fainter so I wasn’t convinced until later this time
