Do theaters give you free 3D glasses or do you need to bring your own?
I know that might sound dumb, but we just moved back from overseas and there you had to buy 3d glasses at the theater. Just wasn't sure how it is done here. |
| When you go to a 3-D movie, the theater provides the glasses. At the end of the movie they have a big box that you put them in. |
| The glasses are free, you dump them back at the end (though I guess you could keep them), and the tickets cost more than the regular 2D movie tickets. |
I don’t think you’re supposed to keep them. They are cleaned and reused after the movie. |
True, but I don't think they police that. Thus, you COULD technically keep them. |
Yuck! I don't think they should be reusable. You put it on your skin, all the oils come in contact wit the plastic and you can not really remove bacteria from plastic. Plastic is like a sponge.. porous, like tone of little air bubbles, you can not clean the inside of it like ever. Have your own and just take them with you ever time you go. Companies make money on this they charge you for glasses, that is why the ticket is more expensive, and then they want you to recycle so they can sell them again. I think that when you return the glasses they should give you back the money they charged you for them.

The higher ticket price is for the 3D film, not for the glasses. You're welcome to bring your own but you won't get any discount. You won't catch anything from glasses. Get a grip. |
They sanitize the glasses. https://www.tesh.com/articles/what-happens-to-3d-glasses-after-you-wear-them/ |
