Restaurant for dinner on Christmas Day - Tysons/Vienna

Anonymous
Hi all -
asking for suggestions for a decent mid-priced restaurant (with alcohol service) open on Christmas day. Lebanese Taverna is an ideal example of what we like, too bad it's closed on that day.
TIA!

Go to opentable and see what’s open and available

A lot of restaurants don’t do a full menu on holidays. They do a few things or a buffet. There’s also a reason why there’s the tradition of Chinese food being a Jewish Christmas. Most things shut down.

You are a genius! Why didn't I think of this! - OP

Pre-kids we always took our family to Founding Farmers in Tysons. Horribly crowded and all reservations were late, but once you get seated it's festive.

Then why not say I’ve already gone to Open Table and couldn’t find anything OP?

I don't think OP was sarcastic.

I am sorry, but making employees besides Chinese restaurants work on Christmas is pretty sad. How lazy do you have to be that you "have" to go out on Christmas to eat?

Umm, you do realize that not everyone celebrates Christmas, right? My family is Jewish, and we always volunteer to work on Christmas so that others may have time off that day. In some professions you get overtime that day. (Health care in particular.)

OP, you can also look at hotel restaurants. Many of them are open on Christmas.

Why do you think employees of Chinese restaurants are in a class of their own when it comes to working for Christmas?

Because they don't celebrate

I don't care if your family is Jewish. 92% of Americans celebrate Christmas. It is ridiculous to have stores or restaurants open

And how in the world can you compare a restaurant to a hospital?

What? Most people of Chinese origin in this country are Christian.
