The new L Word

My expectations were LOW but it’s actually really fun!

Waiting for the season to end, then doing a free showtime trial to binge them all.

It’s AWESOME! However, I was around for the original L-Word. Now I feel like a dirty old lady watching these youngins’?

I binged the original one day when I was getting my home heat/air thingy replaced.

I had no idea there was so much nudity, sex and...stuff that is distracting to construction workers. I was also home alone with them.

Awkward.

I watched the original when it was on and binge watched the new series this week when I was home sick. It actually isn't bad. There is a LOT of sex (which is hot - and as a long time monogamous married lesbian, makes me jealous!)

And how is it that Tina was the only one that aged? The rest look exactly the same as the original.

Laurel Holloman left the biz - the other 3 are still working actors. I think Alice has aged a tiny bit too but she wears it well.

I was in las school when the original was on and binged it like a year or so ago. Just found the new one. Loving it thing is, it is a good reminder of how far we’ve come. I’m loving the reminder. The younger generation should know where we came from. Really, when I was growing up, we never imagined having babies or running for office. And gay bars were so important to us.
