Because people buy the cheaply made ones.

Dresses and suits that are elegant yet comfortable cost a lot. They are made of real silk (dresses) and ultra-fine, lightweight wool (suits) and proper attention is paid to the cut, seams and finishing. They are scratchy or too confining.

They aren’t. Or they don’t have to be. But for years now people have dressed their kids in basically pyjamas or sweats 24/7 and kids don’t know what it feels like to be appropriately dressed for anything other than gym or bed.

Not sure what you're talking about. My son goes to daycare in 3-piece suits and so do his peers.

Yes! I can still remember the feeling of being in too-small tights and a stiff velvet dress that my mom insisted I wear for years, ugh
