Smart Trip coming to iPhone

So excited for this. My job has me all over the city on bus lines and my friends have me across the DMV.

I can't wait to only have to remember my phone when getting on and off the bus. If we can reload our cards through the SmartTrip app and check our balances as well I'll be in heaven!

Now the killer app will be if the sensors pick up the phone information for the protected DC fare evaders and then Metro can simply send them violation citation electronically.

I really don’t want to hold my phone out as I enter the metro. I’ve had a few coworkers suffer a snatch and run event with their phones.

The Apple Watch works as well. Just wave your arm at the machine.
