“Day 21” Progesterone level

Had my “day 21” progesterone test today and it came back at a 4.66. I’ve read that it should really be above a 5 but the nurse from my fertility clinic said “anything above a 3 is great so you definitely ovulated!”. I’m just very skeptical because I’m seeing women on forums saying theirs were 10-40+. Has anyone had a level around this number and ended up pregnant? They are having me go back next Thursday for a beta if my period doesn’t start.

You definitely ovulated - the progesterone threshold for ovulation is much lower than 3. You may have ovulated early or late which is why it isn’t higher.

Op here: my RE’s office told me anything above a 3 means ovulation. I know that I definitely ovulated but I’m in a ton of FB groups for women doing letrozole/Femara/fertility treatments and it seems that the majority say over a 10 is what’s best and that below means “poor ovulation.” I also started spotting on Friday/8dpo (I believe) and have been spotting brown ever since. Obviously that’s not good at all and I’m assuming is due to low progesterone. I put in a call to my drs office today and should hear more from my dr tomorrow but I’m not feeling optimistic at all this cycle and am assuming I’ll be starting my period any day.
