GMU EA Decisions Out

A thread for the average kids...

George Mason early action decisions are out and my kid is in. He’s thrilled and it is (probably) his first choice. Already figuring out which of his many friends who may go there he wants to room with next year.

Stats: 3.6w, 1200 SAT from an FCPS school.

That's awesome! It's a great school. My kid applied EA, but I have to work late, so I won't find out for a while...

The kids I know who are freshman there from NOVA now had mixed feelings about going so close to home but are all super-positive about it now.

DS prefers being close. And he will be College of Engineering, so the internship opportunities locally will be ideal as well.

Congrats to all admitted to GMU. I predict GMU will be rising in the rankings drastically in the next decade and beyond. It has a lot of things going for the school. Its proximity to DC area and its emphasis on some of the more important majors will bring it to prominence.

My son wants to get into cyber security and I’ve heard GMU has a good program. He is a normal kid. He scored a 1200 on the PSATs. I only wish we were in VA instead of MD. Congratulations to all! Anyone care to share stats?

No, that’s not happening. That’s what people have been saying for 30 years.

Except now there’s Amazon factoring in to a new GMU campus. The school is only getting better and better, especially Volgenau.
