How much do you think they donated for THAT to happen?

| Probably $0. If I was a university, I wouldn't touch their money with a ten foot pole. |
Vassar's a great school but its admissions are hardly Ivy level. Good for her! |
| If this kid had to buy her way into the other school, you damn well better believe someone paid for something here. |
| I thought the younger daughter refused her mother’s fixing scheme......shows good moral character. |
|
I thought the girl had good credentials but not Yale credentials. So vassar makes sense. I feel so bad for her—publicly branded as “my parents thought I was not good enough and were so disappointed they were willing to commit a felony.” That’s bad.
Vassar is a pretty supportive place—hopefully she’ll find a kind community there. |
Agree. That daughter also wants to be an actor according to her father, and Vassar is a good place for that. Huffman plead guilty. I don't see a reason to hold her actions against the daughter since there was no evidence she was in on the cheating -- unlike the kids who posed as recruitable athletes. As for standardized tests, I suspect she took the ACT since her SAT was so suspect. |
|
The daughter going to Vassar is NOT the one involved in the scandal. The daughter's whose scores were faked is not currently in college.

This ia re younger daughter. She is 17. It was the older daughter that was part of the scheme - she is now 18.
Younger daughter was probably too young to be part of the scheme when they were involved. She lucked out. |
Thanks for the clarification. I still think they made a huge donation, since cheating apparently doesn't pay the way they thought. |
| This is the younger daughter. I feel quite certain no donations were made in the midst of the criminal trials. That would be idiotic of both Vassar and the parents if so. |
| At least she had a hell of an essay topic. |
That's funny stuff right there. |
Something is not right. |
I don't know why? The reason they felt they needed to help the oldest daughter was because she had a learning disability and struggled in school. It is quite possible the younger daughter has done well in school and got into college on her own steam |
