Gift for musical DS13

DS13 has been playing the piano since first grade and enjoys composing and playing his own creations. I want to find a software that will help him transcribe his originals into sheet music since it's a laborious process (and some of it's pretty good, even if he is my kid Is there such a software?

Any other ideas for a music obsessed kid?

He loves listening to music, composing it on muse score, and playing what his piano teacher assigns, and his own stuff. He takes music technology as a class at school in place of band/orchestra and will eventually get into some advanced music theory if he continues on that curriculum.

It's a serious, long term interest so we are willing to buy him a "big gift" for music.

Try Noteflight. They have a free version and a premium paid version. That’s what my DD13 does.
