best dollhouse

Anonymous
DD is 3. We live in a smallish apartment so can't do one of the huge ones. When I was younger I had a fisher price dollhouse that I loved so I'm sort of looking for something like that. Have thought about a playmobil dollhouse but not sure if that would be good for a 3 year old. Thoughts?

TIA

Fisher price loving family is great. Or even if you get a smaller dollhouse get the FP furniture and family. They are the most realistic and playable.

We have the fisher price little people one, and I really like it because of the small footprint and it can be folded and put away when you need to. There are better ones out there, but I value space more than a few functionalities in toys like these. The kid loves hers even after having hers for about 2-3 years now.

Playmobil has a takalong one that could work for you. My kid will be 3 in a month and loves playing with playmobil and can do almost all of the little piece manipulation herself--though she's very fine motor skill oriented. If your kid is pretty good with manipulating small things then I'd suggest a playmobil one because she'll continue to grow into it and there are all kind of add ons down the line to expand the play possibilities.

I got this one for DD's birthday next week, so can't say it's the best as it hasn't been used yet. I also wanted something smaller that could be stored on a table but also played with on the floor.
