Boys ECNL composite

Do you think that boys ECNL composite team is worth its costs and time commitment? I am wondering how much ECNL composite U18-19 will help for college soccer recruitment compared with other travel/local clubs.
It looks like girls ECNL composite teams are doing quite well for college commitment but boys composite don't seem to do as well.

Who is doing “composite” teams on the boys side, BRYC? Can’t imagine that is worthwhile as it seems only a handful of players on Boys ECNL teams end up playing college at the D1 or strong D2-3 level.

Do you have stats on it? I saw some of McLean's boys were getting recruited, so I'm wondering if it's club specific. McLean has boys going to Princeton, James Madison and some other good schools as well.

On their website it looks like 5-6 the past 2 years. Last year the 2 you mentioned plus McDaniel, W&L, University of Indianapolis and Case Western. I assume those are D2/D3 and good academic schools (at least the ones I know)...Personally, I think if you get to the point where the schools that are recruiting you are small, offering no cash, and not the best academic schools a kid can get into, they’re better off just going where they want to go and trying to walk on, which is what I imagine most of the rest of MYS ‘19 ECNL Boys players have done.

I'm just wondering how that compares to like a EDP team or something like that. There were some D1s in there. And they are new to the ECNL on the boys' side. Of course, DA gets you more looks and the showcases are better. Plus, you have the full year to get recruited. That tends to work well for colleges, since they are in season in the fall.

But I'm just wondering how the boys' ECNL is doing compared to other non-DA options. It does have some virtues in organization and it has definitely gained traction from its inception 2 years ago.

I tried to think of ways to look at this objectively. It's hard because the boys' ECNL is new. Here is a list of college coaches going to their Florida showcase, and it's not bad:

If you can get coaches to come, that's half the battle. And in other conferences, there are strong boys' ECNL teams, so that may help as well.
