Yeah, that what does it matter? The point is he unfollowed him and it’s a very public statement

But even more relevant, when Blake was promoting it ends with us, she referred to Gigi Hadid as her best friend. Yet Gigi just celebrated her 30th birthday and Taylor was there, Blake was not. Blake was in Wrexham. Who misses your best friends 30th birthday?

Obviously, Blake and Taylor can’t be in the same room together. Sad that she blew up her friendship over this mess.

Uh, I am not following this case in the least and just happened to read your post…but best friends miss 30th birthdays…it was a very important day for her husband. That part is irrelevant.

I disagree. She’s been to like one of Wrexham game. She could have missed this one.

I guess all that crap about keeping their family together is just be us. Seems like they’re jet sitting without the kids all the time.

I think maybe Reynolds and Lively wins aren’t really discussed much here, but the Wrexham game was a big deal. Reynolds said: “We made history. We’ve been promoted for a record third time in a row." The last time Wrexham ranked in the second tier was during the 1981-1982 session. This is like a Ted Lasso situation in real life, except that Reynolds’ wife actually came out to support him, which just seems nice, to me. They seem happy. https://people.com/blake-lively-celebrates-husband-ryan-reynolds-wrexham-promotion-instagram-photos-11722946

No one in the US gives a damn about Wrexham. Americans pay attention to soccer exactly every four years in the World Cup. Most Americans can't name five MLS or Premier League players.

She didn’t go because America cares, she presumably went because it was a thing her husband did that was important to him. And they’re married with four kids and presumably she loves and cares about him. I know you guys are heavily invested in her being a monster, but maybe, just possibly, you whole weltanschauung is a bit messed up.

Also, you guys are behaving like bullies over here. Your insistence on seeing Lively as something monstrously inhuman is making you think it’s okay to interpret everything about her in the worst possible way, and to treat people who believe her like they too are terrible monstrous evildoers. wtf are you doing? If there is any moral high ground here you lost it like three hundred pages ago.

You are othering her, and once you don’t see her as human anymore, that can justify all sorts of awful behavior on your part.

I am responding to the idea that the Wrexham game is a big deal. My point is that it might be a big deal to Blake and Ryan, but it is not a big deal for sports fans in the U.S. We barely care about American soccer here so no one is following Wrexham.

So Taylor & Travis have to sit for depos and have their communication records probed? lol

This scheme is backfiring so gloriously. Only so long you can be an evil person before God catches up to you.

She is trying to ruin a man’s life and I can’t just sit with that. He came with proof that she was lying. He put it out there. There are hundreds and hundreds of pages, I’ve seen video with my own eyes. She cooked up the scheme with her power-hungry husband because it’s never enough for them. They want more more more more.

I’m also disgusted that they purchased that company VanZan while he was still married to Scarlet. Such poor taste and so disrespectful. There have been multiple reports for years that during the filming of Green Lantern they would go get a hotel together. I never liked those rumors and I always hope that they were just rumors because I’ve always like Ryan. But now we have definitive proof and it’s just disgusting. I get that Hollywood marriages don’t always work out, but he should’ve been a man and ended things with his wife. They didn’t even have any kids together, it wouldn’t have been that hard.

Huh, we just don’t think going to a soccer game is an accomplishment and if you hadn’t lost all perspective on reality, you wouldn’t either.

Seth Meyers team has apparently disabled the comments on the Youtube upload of Blake Lively's appearance. Her appearance is also notibly absent on the show's IG and Facebook, whereas all the other celebrity guest are still on there. The comments on their subsequent videos are in shambles of course.

I personally would not have done this. Her team is failing her. She can promote the film and stick to low key red carpet appearances and cast conferences like she's been doing. TV interviews are too personal. I think she really thought that when she filed in Dec, that Baldoni would be done away with and she could go back to her life and movies and she would have mass support. That may have initially happened but the tide turned when both sides were released. People feel contentious about her and Baldoni and she should be laying low until the trial is over. You cannot accuse a man of these things and destroy his family and career then go back to your regular life like all is well.

The Seth Meyers interview was a disaster. It was just so obvious they agreed that he would ask a softball question about her “intense year” so that she could say the comment that she said and then they could move on with funny anecdotes about the movie Frozen (what a relevant reference Blake) and her kids. It was so obvious and the fact that they disabled comments and didn’t feature it on all their platforms….ouch.

This is almost a master class on how not to handle a scandal. Either her team is failing her or they are no longer listening to advice and just think they know best.

I think she thought that she would be the hero/victim in all this and everyone would take her side and revere her. She’s a classic case narcissist so they have the worst judgment ever because of their delusions of grandeur. Well, it backfired and I don’t think she’s coming back from this.

It’s pretty obvious they have been ignoring advice all along.

Ryan and Blake are paying a lot of money for expert advice. I'm sure this appearance was part of a plan. She has a film to promote. She was going to have to do a TV interview at some point, and whenever it happened, she was going to get the reaction she's getting. Maybe they'd rather get that over with now. I did roll my eyes at what she said because she makes the alleged SH sound so much serious than it is. I think it may work on the general public, who hasn't read all the pleadings to know that what she's alleging as SH isn't that traumatic, and that Baldoni has a lot of proof supporting what she's alleging didn't even happen the way she says. I think it's a reasonable strategy for her to keep plugging along while the case is kind of quiet. It will draw more attention once MTD rulings come out.

"Disaster" implies something went wrong in the interview. It didn't. The interview was normal and fine.

It is standard on a late night show like that for the host to offer softball questions to an actor or entertainer. It would be a prerequisite of the entertainer agreeing to do the show -- no one is going to show up to do Seth Myers if they think they are going to be grilled about their messy divorce, their reported conflict with a costar, or other negative story. And they do stuff like this all the time, where someone who has had negative press recently goes on SM to gently address it and then pivot to their current project. See, e.g., every appearance by John Mulaney on the program in the last few years.

The people who think it was a "disaster" are people who already hate Lively and are fully on JB's side. This is a small fraction of the viewing public but this group has an intense and rabid online presence. So they will flood the comments in any posted version of the interview. Not because the interview itself has anything of interest in it (it's completely banal, like 99% of all celeb interviews) but because it's an opportunity to attack Lively, their sworn enemy.

If the interview itself were problematic, they'd take down the videos altogether. It wouldn't be available for streaming on Peacock. Alas, the interview is not only fine, it almost certainly did it's expected job of getting people to check out Another Simple Favor this weekend, which appears to the the top streamed movie on Amazon Prime just two days after it's release.

It also enabled Lively to appear pleasant and professional in public despite all the bad press, which will probably leave a positive impression with the vast majority of viewers who are not following the court cases and don't care that much about them.

I truly do not see what the "disaster" is here. It's fine.

The post review is quite funny. https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/movies/2025/05/01/another-simple-favor-kendrick-lively-review/ It must truly be horrid given the audience review.
