I have a 3 year old and a 7 month old. Tonight after dinner my husband and I cleared the dishes, sat down on the couch in front of the Christmas tree with glasses of wine, and chatted for 20 minutes straight without having to get up while the kids played independently. It felt like an out of body experience!

We did it this past weekend because we are out of town this weekend, and December 7 just seemed like too late in the year to do it (for us... we love having it up for a long time). It's been a little confusing, I keep forgetting Thanksgiving hasn't happened yet lol.
