Non-toxic nail polish?

Anonymous
I know I've read about nail polish not being great, period, due to some of the toxins, fumes, etc. Is anyone familiar with any that are less toxic, maybe more "natural" - as natural as something like this could be, right? I have a ton of weddings to attend in the next few months and I'm in search of new makeup and nail polish to spice things up a bit.
Thanks

I doubt a non-toxic nail polish exists, but I've also never heard there's any risk in getting your nails polished during pregnancy. I've certainly done it during both my pregnancies.

Elizabeth Arden at Friendship Heights have switched their nail polish brand in the past several months for a non-toxic one.

I think toluene (sp?) is one of the "bad" chemicals/fumes. I bought a Sally Hansen nail polish that's toluene-free (and I use it only once in a while, with the window open!) Aveda also has nail polish, but I'm not sure how different the ingredients are.

I heard about this

Other brands of polish that claim to be less chemical include Honeybee Gardens' water-based nail enamel, Sante Kosmetics, Zoya, and No Miss.
