Car service DC to NYC

Anonymous
Has anyone ever hired a personal car service to drive to and from DC to NYC? Any good companies you would recommend and how much does it cost?

Ideally, I would not like to drive myself and I’m trying to see if there is an alternative to flying and taking a bus or train.

Just put it in Uber and see what kind of options you get. You might have to do it in segments, like DC to Baltimore to Wilmington to Jersey or something like that. Seems kind of ridiculous. Why not just turn up at Reagan and buy a walk up on the shuttle?

I cannot fathom why anyone would want to be driven, even in a nice car, to NYC.

If you can afford to hire a car you can afford an Acela ticket which would be faster and more comfortable.

I did see a car service that advertises this. I think it was maybe $800. I would consider it for certain situations especially if you have 3-4 people.

The company is NYC based, I think. Just try Google to find it.

They will do it, they're a local company and well-established:

First search results is this: https://douglasvip.com/manhattan-to-dc for $699.

If I were rich, I'd just take a car to Union Station and get on the Acela. Yes, there's the 20 minutes or whatever waiting to get on the train, but I think the train's more comfortable and won't get stuck in traffic (though it can be delayed for other reasons).

There is an Escalade daily service you split the ride

New non stop Acela is quickest

When do you want to go? I’m driving my small family up weekend of 12/20. I’m driving and could accommodate another passenger.
