Considering buying an EV car in the next few months--can anyone recommend a contractor they've used to install an EV car charger? We are in upper NW DC.
Thanks! |
| My advice fwiw is to start with just 120v charging if you habe an outlet that’s useable but I know lots of people don’t like to hear that. |
| I don't think you need to install a charger tailored for the specific EV you own. But a 110 volt circuit is not going to cut it. You need 220 volts, which any decent licensed electrician can install. If you have central A/C and/or an electric clothes dryer in your house, you already have 220 volt circuits. |
| Anthony Electric (based in Hyattsville). He is literally the best person providing a service that I have ever used in the DMV. He installed our car charger, and also fixed my garage door because it was noisy and he is a great guy. |
