How do your spike your eggnog?

When not pregnant, rum. I tried it with spiced rum once and that was really tasty. Oh, and add nutmeg, of course. Wish I could have some now!

Spiced rum, float some scoops of vanilla ice cream in it and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bourbon. But I will take just about any liquor to spike it over the the non-alcoholic egg nog we had at work last week. Yuck!

As you can see from the PPs, it really just depends on what you like, but it's typically either rum or bourbon. Just don't overpour. If I want a nice spiked eggnog, I'm looking for eggnog with a little liquor kick, not a glass of bourbon with an eggnog mixer.

Irish Whiskey. Well, last year that's what I did. Now that I'm preggers, will spike it that way for the fam.

If you happen to be in the midwest over the holidays, get an eggnog shake from steak n' shake. Had one when I was in Kentucky for work a few years ago and even without booze it was wonderful!
