Are they really a godsend? I have to fit my post-baby body into a pre-baby gown for a wedding this week. Without spanx, it zips but its lumpy
Will spanx really do the trick? Any other shapewear work any better? |

Yes they will help it look more smooth. I have to admit though, they are not the most comfortable. You will definitely
look better with them. Just pricey. |

They will help smooth and make things slightly smaller all over. I don't yip when I put them on - but they do the job. Can't wait to peel them off later.
Not sure which Spanx you might need. I wear the bike shorts. They also have items that deal with the waist and torso. Nordstrom's usually has the complete collection. |
| I love the Spanx called "higher power". They are bike shorts but they go high enough to meet your bra. Definitely not the sexiest undergarment, but they do the trick. (The lower-waisted ones give me a muffin top.) I don't even find them particularly uncomfortable. Not something I'd wear to lounge around on the couch, but definitely wearable for an evening out. (And the best part is they have a split in the crotch so you can pee without pulling them down!) Not cheap, but WELL worth it. |
| Find the bike short ones that go up to the bra and that have the opening crotch. The last thing you want to do, especially in a nice dress, is to pull them up and down all night, and while it sounds a little gross, the opening crotch really does work (for #1 at least). It does make everything look better. Plus, no panty lines! |
