| Can I rely on Uber at 4 am or better off calling a taxi? |
| Get a taxi. A colleague was screwed by Uber in DC a couple weeks ago when she had an early flight. |
| Taxi! I’ve btdt. |
| If you can afford it (usually $25 more maybe depending) I would go with a well rated car service. Even more reliable than a taxi IMO. |

You can pre-schedule an uber. When you open the app it says
Where to? and Now with a little arrow. Click on the Now and you can schedule a ride. Uber then confirms it after it finds someone. When I've scheduled a ride at 6 am they have shown up and taken me to the airport. |
I wrote 6 I meant 4 |
Do you mean that the Uber never showed, or that she could not find any uber availability at that time? |
This is what my DC colleague did a couple weeks ago, and the Uber didn’t show up. Prearrange for a taxi. Call the day before. Barwood is reliable. |
Uber never showed. |
| Unless you can pre schedule, I wouldn't do it. The one time I tried to get an early uber, we ended up cutting it pretty close. |
And she couldn’t find another one nearby. |
| Do not use super shuttle |
+1 Me too (btdt) |
| Where do you live? I live in Del Ray and have never had an issue at any hour, and I frequently am traveling at that time. If you're in a pretty urban area, this should not be an issue. If you live outside the beltway, it probably will be |
| I've never had an issue with Uber but for something that early - I would schedule a UberX and make sure I left about a half hour earlier. |
