Any experiences with Dr. Malik at Shady Grove?

Hi all,

I’m considering switching REs within SGF and was hoping someone could help me out by sharing their experiences with Dr. Malik?

I am hoping to find an RE that will willingly answers my questions and has a kind/gentle bedside manner. If you’ve had Dr. Malik as your RE at SGF would you mind sharing whether she meets these criteria (and of course, any other thoughts that you have)?

I currently have an RE that lacks these qualities which reminded me that they are important to me

I can't say enough good things about Dr Malik. She is very patient answering questions and addressing concerns. I never feel rushed even when I had a long list of questions for her.

Her capacity for compassion is unmatched (and I've had two other REs before). She cried with me when I finally got pregnant after many failed cycles. She cried with me when I lost that pregnancy. I highly recommend her!

Yes! I love her! I would definitely say she has one of the best bedside manners of any doctor I've ever seen. Can't say enough good things.

OP here, and thanks for the responses this far, this is so good to hear. If anyone else has positive or negative views I’d be glad to hear them, and if not I’m going to make a phone call to change doctors!

I saw her during several monitoring appointments and she was always very nice.

I had Dr. Malik and have the exact opposite experience.
The second time I met with her she didn't have any of my records with her and didn't remember our issues; she was never there to perform my ultrasounds; when my transfer got cancelled due to ovulating through the meds, she didn't even call me, I had to ask that she give me a call.

Dr. Levy did my transfer. He was fantastic. I got pregnant and literally never heard from her one time. The last time I spoke with her was after she called me (at my request) from my FET cancellation.
Like dumbfounding. We had success and I never got so much as a call or email from her.
Most unprofessional RE that I have dealt with, and I have been thru a few.

She was great with our IVF and FET. Can't say enough good things about her.
