| My DD wants to do a martial art but doesn't know there are different kinds. Which is best for her age range, preferably something that build good foundations in case she decides to do a different martial art or other activity when she gets a little older. We're located in friendship heights but can travel. |

OP, I recommend a new post. title something like "Martial arts suggestions for DD age 4"

Not sure if you’re in md or dc, but both offer recreational martial arts classes. Pick up a guide at your local library.
Alternatively google martial arts in friendship heights. Check if they have kids classes and ask to do a drop in class to see if she likes it. |
