8 or 10 seems extreme....I would think by 3rd or 4th if you are able to verify who the person is. If you were that paranoid, I would probably think you have issues and there would be nothing after 3-4. Either that or I would assume you are hiding something. By third or fourth date, also like to have verified that they are not in a relationship, and have them over to show I am not in a relationship. Then we have Fava Beans and a nice Chianti. |

| 2nd date if we met online and had no mutual connections? Probably not. I'd just meet him somewhere. I've known a few people over the years who seemed ok on first or second meeting, but revealed their true crazy not long afterward. |

| You invite him in once you feel safe enough to be in private with him. Usually after the 3rd date for most people, but it depends on a lot. If in doubt, keep it out in public. |
