Baby's butt or head?

| How can I tell if my baby is head down other than asking the doctor? I feel something hard on my right side but then something sharper on my left side. Is the hard part her butt, back or head? Dr said it's usually the butt but I'm not sure. It's actually painful. 33 weeks. |

| My kids butt was so round that my doc thought it WAS her head near the end. They did an extra u/s because of it because they thought she was breech |

| The only thing I could tell was the foot pressing, which kind of tipped me off on which direction the baby was facing. Your OB will be able to find and feel the head with a fair amount of certainty. |
