How much do you pay for teenagers who babysit?

Can you tell me what the hourly rate is for teenagers babysitting 4 year old? And if they are also willing to help in light household chores what do you pay?

$11-$12/hr

My DD is 14, and frequently babysits 4 year old neighbor. She would NEVER do light housekeeping, even when the child is in bed. She does clean up from dinner (if she was there and fed the child) and does clean up (with the child) whatever they played with. Then once child is asleep, she hangs out on the couch with her phone/their tv .

She completed the Suburban Hospital Safe Sitter course, and is currently paid $15 per hour.

$20/hr. My daughter is a sophomore in college and babysits for $20/hr and no cleaning or laundry. She babysits and has a four hour minimum. A babysitter should not be expected to do housekeeping of any kind!

$10 an hour and I just ask the babysitter to return the house in the same condition we’re leaving it to them in.

Unless there are special circumstances (tons of kids or unusual situations) the standard rate in my suburban neighborhood is $10/hour.

Op here. The babysitter herself wants to help in light chores for extra cash! Thats why I want to pay her fairly!
