Does CMV status really matter for IUI or IVF?

I’ve heard very mixed opinions. According to my doctor there’s never been a case of CMV transmitted through IUI. But most doctors won’t allow a CMV negative woman to choose a CMV positive donor.

I can only speak to IVF.
I am CMV-negative. I don’t know my husband’s CMV status as he was not tested.
We did IVF (ICSI), and CMV-negative status was not an issue.

I'm cmv negative. My husband is cmv positive. I did one iui and multiple ivfs and no one seems to care
