Lutheran church in Alexandria?

| Is anyone familiar with either Messiah Lutheran Church or Nativity Community Lutheran Church in the Alexandria section of Fairfax county? We just moved between the two, and I am wondering which one would be more family friendly (ie families with young children attend). Thanks for any help! |

| It looks like Nativity has a more active parish. I poked around the website. Messiah said something about discerning their ministry in the Fort Hunt area. That usually means that the church has dwindling attendance. |

What synod are you looking for? There are a few different Lutheran church’s in the old town area that are not Missouri synod.
For what it’s worth, I don’t recommend Immanuel, I wouldn’t go near that place. |

| OP here. I grew up in the ELCA. After a few attempts, I'm now considering trying something totally different in order to find an active congregation for our kids. Anyone have experience with St. Luke's Episcopal on Ft. Hunt? |
