We tested my husband last year in late July early August and his DNA fragmentation was 39%. It was also the most stressful period of our lives. SG made us to TESE and all the craziness. We tested again last week and his DNA fragmentation was at 20% at another clinic and he is participating in a study that will help reduce it more.
Does DNA fragmentation change this drastically. |
| I think sperm changes drastically. We needed ART to get pregnant with our first due to MFI, I am not three months pregnant with an oops baby we didn't think was possible. Our RE said his sperm probably just improved as it was tested during a particularly bad time before (illness, stress, a music festival ha). It happens! |
| GW wants 2-3 spaced out sperm samples before calling anything a problem. Sperm can fluctuate so much that it's impossible to know what's an actual issue and what's a dip from a fever or bachelor party weekend based on one sample. |
