Anyways just wanted to let you guys know to try the dollar stores and ethnic stores in the not so great neighborhoods

How are the surrounding Richmond areas looking generally? If you went to a Target or Publix in say Short Pump, would they be wiped clean?

FYI applicable everywhere not just Richmond, if for any reason you can't find rice and/or lentils, find an Indian grocery store in your area. I went last weekend and they are fully stocked -- in large part bc many Indian families (mine included) aren't stocking up any more than their normal grocery shopping bc it is very common for them to have 10-20 lbs of rice and lentils in their home already as that is daily fare; most of those stores also sell snacks like cookies (Indian/middle eastern brands though - but they're good) + produce so if you really feel you can't find food (not that I'm seeing food shortages yet), one of these stores can be a one stop shop.

My sister lives on the south side of the river, Forest Hill which is also A nice neighborhood like short pump, she went to target today and sent us pictures of 100% empty shelves of cold and flu medicine for adults and children. Also completely empty shelves of all cleaning products Clorox wipes bleach etc. etc.

IDK if it's a Target thing or a well to do area thing or both, but Targets are very much wiped clean, and then you can go to Safeway or Harris Teeter or wherever and find the same stuff -- maybe not everything but not completely sold out either. IDK if they have a distribution and stocking problem or what. I've heard multiple people say there isn't a wipe to be found in Target whether Falls Church or Forest Hill, but then Giant in MoCo still has some!?

My cousin in TN has become The Family Dealer. They have tons of bleach, Lysol, hand soap, and sanitizers in all the stores where she lives. She sent a few boxes this week and is starting to stock up on her own after seeing the photos we've seen of empty shelves.

Thank goodness her area had not yet gone into crazy pepper mode because she was able to send a bunch of masks up here for our relative who had a transplant not too long ago. They were getting to the end of their supply and not able to get any around here like normal.

How far do you think you’d have to drive for stores stocked with cleaners or sanitizers (though that may be a nationwide issue). Somewhere south of Richmond?

Hand sanitizer is nationwide. Cleaners and bleach? Go to a dollar store in a poor neighborhood- I bet you’ll find a bunch

Yeah I didn’t bother with Target yesterday after hearing how bad it was. Went to Harris Teeter and found everything (OTC medicines included) with no trouble.

I went and got the Easter candy this morning. Handed it over to my husband to hide from me.

Yesterday I found some Lysol cleaner (EPA approved) at Lowes. There were only 5 in stock and I ordered on line for pickup. It's the dilutable kind you can dilute and put in a spray bottle. This is my backup if I run out of wipes.

Unless you are 70+ and the media didn't get its followers into a panic, most people who get this virus would think they had a cold or mild flu.

Chill, people. Seriously.

Yeah.

Know what the death rate is in the 0-9 age category? (Cue Dean Wormer voice). “Zero point Zero”

I would assume Trump country like Kentucky or Alabama would have plenty of sanitizer, as none of them believe this is real.

Half the US population has the high risk medical conditions.

High BP, diabetes, immunocompromised (and the big money maker the last decade biologics all weaken the immune system.

Although it is low in kids, but based on China's data, it is 0.2%
