It's not a conspiracy theory. It's an actual conspiracy. I think most people believe are powerful and rich people on both side of the aisle who want this to be buried and forgotten, and it's now clear to most of his supporters that Trump is one of them.

It should also signal to them with the vote that the Dems aren’t afraid of releasing it knowing there’s at least one prominent Dem on it.

They’ve probably fully embraced the blame Biden/Obama doctrine and have put up mental blocks over trump’s/barr’s involvement. Look at Bill O’Riely not being able to grasp, seemingly genuinely confused about whose administration was in power when Epstein died. He really seemed confused in the video clip.

Are you seriously asking why a serial liar and conman who always skates and has never faced any serious consequences for his actions would lie to manipulate people? Even if this peels off some of his voters, who cares? He been elected twice. He doesn’t need them anymore. Besides, we’ve got 16 months until the midterms. He’ll do hundreds, if not thousands, of despicable things between now and then. The Epstein files will be a distant memory by then because the GOP media sources will stop talking about it.

If Trump wanted the Epstein files released, they would’ve been released during his first term. Trump was president and ultimately responsible for U.S. prisons when Epstein died in his federal prison cell. Trump wanted the story to die then and there.

Alas, it has not, and he is suffering the Striesand Effect. The best we can hope for are some MAGAs realizing they have been conned and actually turning out at the ballot box to do something about it in the future.

Did he think he would redact his own name? Did he think he could release a fake list with whatever names he wanted on there? He has an IQ of 80 and was going for the red meat of votes and "deal with it later" - because he has managed to skate on everything he has ever done in his life, so he figured he would skate on this too.

There’s no one smoking-gun “list” created by Epstein.” Serious reporters who have bern following the story for years agree on this point. There’s loads of other evidence, but there’s no mythical “list.”
