I saw their same stupid posts when I broke the collapse of DA on this same soccer board in April of 2020. They all jumped on my post then too. And I was right then as well. Yes, this is the OP who said this merger was a done deal and listed out the facts. And you all did your normal hyena howling and assailed everyone who also said it was correct and confirmed. Just a bunch of fools who think they know what is really going on. “Sounds like an FCV parent”….”DA will never go away”…..”You must be from (insert Arlington or VDA or….).

Until next time. Keep eating the Cheetos and banging on the keyboards.

Didn't Boys DA become MLS Next and didn't Girls DA become GA?

kind of a hollow win for you.

Confirmed

Why are the boys' divisions of McLean and BRYC underperforming? Despite participation in lower-tier tournaments, both Union and Brave face defeats against average EDP teams, even though these travel programs cost significantly more. It's worth noting that SYC's second team actually outperforms Union, raising the question of whether ECNL boys really offer a superior league. Based on discussions, it appears that major clubs in Northern Virginia participating in ECNL for boys are considering a switch to MLS Next, but they hesitate due to the potential risk of losing their ECNL charter for girls' teams.

That’s just not true for Union. 2007 boys are in top 1/3 of conference. 2009s won Jeff cup last year. 2008 are in top of MA conference with total of 2 losses. Perhaps at younger years this may be the case but 07-09 were bad at younger years too and have been developed across time…

Unless totally mismanaged their girls’ ECNL team should dominate.

Unclear how GFR fits into this mix. They really should feed into FXU not NVA.

FXU should have several ECNL R teams and arguably could support two ECNL girls team.

I suspect MLS next will dominate in the boys arena.

Boys ECNL may go the way of Girls Academy.

That being said, fewer ECNL clubs is not a bad thing. ECNL should just bring FCV back into the fold, release Loudoun and BRAVE from ECNL and voila, you have a more competitive landscape in NOVA.

Fixed it for you.

Nitpick police: Massachusetts may have beef with you with SSS and NEFC, but otherwise you may be right in saying between CT and SC there are no serious teams

SYC boys are serious even elite, I'd be careful with any assertions like this until you see these SYC GA teams develop and play, they will be competitive Day 1 at minimum

Disagree with you on "Day 1," but SYC has demonstrated some ability to develop players on the boys side, whether I personally like the club's culture or not. So I think the GA thing will be a smart move in the long run.

It is not development. It is over the top recruiting at a young age plus being the only club in Fairfax County with MLS Next. Horrible comparison with GA as that is far from the top league.

bingo

So now each club has a valuation issue. Do the boys mean more than the girls…..

What age groups will FXU dominate in girls? 2010 will be a strong team. The others will be mediocre.

2 ECNL teams? That’s funny.

These parents don't know soccer and want to tell us what team is good. Keep watching baseball and WWE.

Why are there about 8 active posts on the same NOVA teams regarding moves and mergers?
