hi,
I'm trying to plan a midday gathering with coworkers and their toddlers -- anyone know of any NoVa or DC locations where parents can have a beer while kids play somewhere enclosed, inside etc.? |
The HMart food court in Fairfax. |
The hard cider brewer in Alexandria - Lost Boy. |
Ballston Quarter |
The Eleanor in NoMa. Has arcade games, bowling, skeeball, pinball. Definitely not for toddlers, so not a good answer for the OP, but I'm responding in case others come to this thread for ideas.

Scramble in Alexandria has a cafe with food/beer/wine/cider and enclosed play area all around. |
I like the cut of your jib, OP! |
Vanish! |
How far do you want to go? Many of the farm breweries in western Loudoun have this. Dirt Farm/B Chord/Old 690, etc.
|
Chuckie Cheese serves beer. |
Was going to say this. There's a bar and an area where kids can play. |
where - an indoor area? |
You'll still have to keep an eye on the toddlers because it's not completely enclosed, but Capitol Cider House in Petworth is toddler friendly. They have toys and a train table set up. But toddlers could still run back into the cider barrels and stuff if you're not keeping an eye on them, so it's not a perfect solution. |
I didn't know they sold alcohol! I am so much more interested now... |
Yeah they (oddly) don't seem to promote it much, but I remember seeing Lost Boy Cider talk about being in there now, and there are a few photos of alcohol on Scramble's FB page. |
